The tecxus rechargeable batteries are already pre-charged and can be used immediately ("ready to use"). The self-discharge rate is much lower than with conventional rechargeable batteries: after 6 months the cell still has 90% and after 12 months 80% of the pre-charged capacity. And since the NiMH rechargeable batteries can be recharged up to 1,000 times, they are more environmentally friendly than batteries.
